The University of Melbourne in Australia released a study in 2009 which claimed that workplace internet leisure browsing (or WILB) increased overall workday productivity by 9%. The study specified that this increase correlated to individuals who browsed the internet for 20% of their day – to recognize the difference between the average user, and an addicted user (whose results did not reflect a productivity increase).... Dual Monitors - opinion from the support team. Are two monitors better than one? At Computer Rescue, we think there’s no debate. After you try it, you will not believe that you were fine using just one. You are probably familiar with how to change from one window to another; with two monitors, you can have one window open on one screen and another open on the other screen. Battery Backup Systems: Best Practices There is a common misconception that battery backup and power surge systems are only required on a file server, when in reality, almost everything on your network belongs on a battery backup or power surge device. Whether you experience a power surge, "brown out" or complete loss of electrical service to your home or office, battery backup systems provide both short-term battery power and power surge protection to key devices so that they can be properly shut-down when the need arises. Power strips afford protection for power surges, but won't help you in a brown out when power generation across the grid is less than what's needed to operate your equipment.
